She had done around 114k miles, but always been cared for and warmed-up properly and, as any long-time TVR owner knows, the car improves with age! Any weak parts get replaced with upgraded and more robust versions. She should easily be good for as many miles again.
Prior to this car, I owned a TVR Griffith 500, but fell in love with the new Tuscan when it was being exhibited at Le Mans in this (launch) colour - "Cerrion Silver". I bought direct from the dealer when a friend told me this car, which had apparently been built as a press demonstrator, then not required, was for sale there.

About this time, I had the single boot lid gas strut on the right replaced with a pair of struts, right and left. The raised fuel filler cap was replaced by a recessed filler cap to accommodate. The single strut had really been too weak to fully support the heavy “whale-tail” (Mk. 2S) boot lid. Unable to find invoice for the work, undertaken by P. R. Wood Motor-bodies.
